Finally bye ALO? The cars will be slower in '26 so Lance may remain even though he'll complain and I'm guessing it's unlikely AM will challenge for the WC even with Newey there. MAX wants wins and race wins more than money and Ford have more money than AM's Stroll, there is a possibility also that EU could step in with the crazy amounts of money being unofficially banded about to drivers in the name of fair competition.

![]() in '22 Max probably had the fastest car (as the RB had less porpoising, but specwise it wasn't faster), in '23 certainly, but not in '24 (even Lando had to admit that...it wasn't 'all luck' as it seems), and in '21....well, Hammy easily coul've gotten his 8th if he didn't make that stupid mistake in Baku, keeping his brake magic on.... That's where he lost his 8th for sure. Simple drivers error. We all remember him standing there at the restart next to Checo, with his front brakes smoking hot.... And tbh I don't think Max will have the fastest car this year. And I also don't think he'll get the WDC this year (unless both McLaren and Ferrari f#ck up big time strategy wise). I expect McLaren will be the fastest, and Ferrari the 2nd fastest. However both Ferrari and McLaren have 2 drivers that will compete for the #1 spot, and that migth be their downfall. I expect big battles between both Lando vs. Oscar and Lewis vs. Charles at the start of the season, all competing for that #1 spot within the team to get that go ahead position swap when things get tight. I think that with the costcap and the ruleset now pretty much chrystallised out now for 2025, gettting the WDC becomes more of a team effort.

Even MB with an 80-100 hp advantage (for 7 years) and cheating tire tests didnt have the skilled drivers to come anywhere close to this despite a car that should have easily won every race in a season. 2024 - had the 3rd or 4th fastest car for about 80% of the season. Max still won more as a single driver than any team did. Overall these years, one thing is for sure - only Max could have won the WDC in these years as the car despite being good in 2022-2024 was increasingly a harder and harder car to drive which he was the only suitable driver with the agility in skill to do what he acheived. 2025 - I think the RB will come back strong and certainly have the advantage of Max. I have a feeling Ferrari and Mclaren will end up having made a mistake and MB might come in strong too. |

NZ man Lawson coming in beside MAX will make joe public think that its a wake up call seing how the already gone Checo folded though admittedly being in a on/off car that only MAX could adapt to like a duck to water. The season I think will involve a lot of trick driving trying to stay within the rules on the border and being much closer with MAX, Charlie and Lew with Lando there causing a traffic jam but I have high hopes the RB21 will come through. A 1-2 for the fresh RB21 down under without Checo is not an unreasonable expectation. |

Crucial first Ferrari F1 car changes explained
— Ferrari’s new SF-25 represents a project that, while appearing to follow the SF-24’s design, reveals significant technical changes aimed at performance improvements for Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc. The most noticeable upgrade is the adoption of the front pull rod suspension. — Ferrari’s goal with this suspension change is not only to enhance aerodynamic balance but also to generate more tyre energy. This adjustment aims to boost qualifying performance and provide a firmer front end. “The adoption of the front pull rod suspension represents the most visible element of the SF-25, but the objective of this radical change compared to the SF-24 is not only to improve the car’s aero balance.” — Detailed engineering efforts are evident in the suspension geometry. While the upper wishbone may seem conventional, the concealed lower pick-up points and extended profiling indicate deep aerodynamic considerations. Additionally, the lower wishbone includes a winglet designed to uplift airflow toward the sidepods. — Changes to the cockpit positioning and front wheel placement have also been made. The cockpit is now more centered, and the front wheels have been positioned farther apart to allow smoother airflow to the sidepods, which now feature a reduced vertical section and a streamlined upper profile. — At the rear, the shark fin engine hood now includes a saw-teeth profile with multiple vents instead of a single gill. This design directs hot air under the wing’s main plane, further optimizing aerodynamic performance. — Leclerc emphasized Ferrari’s focus on driver confidence during cornering, with the SF-25 designed for precision and predictability, essential under current F1 regulations. “The SF-25 seems being designed with this in mind.” |
