New Audi A4 S line option...
New Audi A4 has three versions for 2.0 TFSI;
Premium -- from $32700 Premium Plus -- from $36700 Prestige -- from $40000 you know S line is a must for an audi ----------------------------------------------------------------------- S line Package (contains Perlnappa Leather Upholstery with Sport Seats and Alcantara leather with embossed S line logo in the front seat backs) 19" wheel ("S line" design) with high-performance tires Shift paddles (for Tiptronic models) Sport seat Lumbar for both front seats Sport steering wheel Sport suspension S line front and rear bumpers Side rocker moldings S line badges on fenders, steering wheel, and door sills S line steering wheel with badge and stitching Brushed aluminum trim from quattro GmbH Sport seat with S line leather/Alcantara upholstery Black headliner ----------------------------------------------------------------------- This option is only available with the "prestige" model... 2.0 TFSI Prestige starts from $40k with s-line and navi the price is $45k, and with audi drive select $48k And the 3.2 fsi S-line + navi is 49k... I do not understand why S line is not an option for cheaper versions? the price is really high Edit: I looked at the germany price list, you can not take s-line option with base model, you must first take the ambition package, but the percentage of difference from base package to ambition is 5.6%, but in US you must pay 22% more than base model Also in europe S line includes standart 18'' wheels, 19'' is optional, but in US 19'' is standart. Kinda high, not much. Audi stepped up their game on the B8 A4. It isn't say 335i quick, but more luxurious. It looks nice. But I somewhat agree about the price. At that price, I'd get an A5, which is quite sexy.

Here's the S line option: S line Package (contains Perlnappa Leather Upholstery with Sport Seats and Alcantara leather with embossed S line logo in the front seat backs) 19" wheel ("S line" design) with high-performance tires Shift paddles (for Tiptronic models) Sport seats Lumbar for both front seats Sport steering wheel Sport suspension S line front and rear bumpers Side rocker moldings S line badges on fenders, steering wheel, and door sills S line steering wheel with badge and stitching Brushed aluminum trim from quattro GmbH Sport seat with S line leather/Alcantara upholstery Black headliner And here's the sport option (minus the S badges and other cosmetics): 18" Sports Package (contains Perlnappa Leather Upholstery with Sport Seats) 18" wheel with summer performance tires Shift paddles (for Tiptronic models) Sport seats Lumbar for both front seats Sport steering wheel Sport suspension So, you get the same performance but minus the cosmetics for $1000 less. These manufacturer's aren't dumb. They add non-performance cosmetics and crank up the cost. It seems to work. |

the S-line is more like the M sport package. You can't be mad at audi for this, bmw does the same thing. M sport steering wheel, M shifter, Mtech kit, etc...all the same idea. |

yes Bmw M pack, Audi S line and Mercedes AMG pack is all same...
but these kits are not special to M,S or AMG models, they give a sporty look to more ordinary models... They never come close to a M or AMG models with these kits... |

I agree that the S-line package is a must. And it's just like the M-sport package that BMW makes available on it's non-US cars.
To the OP... you didn't mean tiptronic did you? DSG perhaps? I believe that they did away with the tiptronic tranny or are they still using it on the frontrak cars? |

it bothers me that Audi only offers the S line interior in black.
They offer a nice red on the TT a brown on the A5, but only tan/grey/black on the volume leader A4. after having terra, I can't see every going back to a plain interior again
