Junkman Repairs Minor Scratches on a Lamborghini Murcielago

Here's what seperates the men from the boys. You have to have some onions to take sandpaper to to a car with a specific edition paint code that can only be matched by the car manufacture. Cost of the paint? Do not even ask! This gentleman flew me all the way to Florida because he didn't trust anyone else to touch his paint. Remember, I don't do this for a living, this is my "me time" passion. I just love cars.

One thing to note about this repair. First, I did not have all of my tools to do this repair, I only had what the car owner had available. I could have repaired this with no sandpaper if I had my rotary polisher. However, I only had access to the owner's Flex 3401VRG polisher. Remember, the Flex 3401VRG is a dual-action polisher. It has some power, but not the immediate power of a rotary polisher. That is why I did the repair this way, instead of using a rotary and a compound.

A compound is a polish for correcting heavier paint damage. Although the scratches look light, that clear coat was harder than the chin on Lincoln at Mount Rushmore.
