Always funny that all of their TV pundits are people who have little to no success in the sport. The most successful is Ros who I dont think anyone considers that good. He wouldnt even come in top 100 in F1 all time.

Oh.........I was beginning to think we were heading to autumn if it continues like this...It's about time!

I've never much worn a bucket hat, that's not a 'thing' here...Normally it's just sunglasses and get tanned until I get burnt..

Long may the sun continue until after silverstone then!

It doesn't feel like it's coming with the chilly early mornings but by Wednesday should start warming up not that I'll be enjoying it much continuing the painting and decorating inside, fitting new door handles etc.

Totally agree. I got a bad sunburn on my forehead in 2003. Back when I had hair... And about a fifteen years later dark spots started showing up etc. Wear a baseball cap (or similar) for at least some of the time you're out in the sunshine. Ultra Violet intensity is much higher nowadays with the birth of the new "white sun" we now have to deal with UVC on top of UVA and UVB. Yes, the sun is white now, and no longer egg yolk yellow color as it was for most of the last century. The sun follows an 11 year solar cycle.

A cap or, even better, a bucket hat + shades + sunscreen: popular features among glider pilots to avoid getting 'lobstered' by the sun under the plexi canopy.

Make sure it's EU sunscreen formula or zinc... There's buzz in the USA right now about U.S. sunscreen makers being the same big pharma companies who also make -> and profit from <- cancer treatment drugs. American sunscreen has now been exposed as actually 'causing' skin cancer. Robert Kennedy Junior exposed the FDA corruption at a recent congressional hearing. And yes, the media has lied to the plebs for decades.

Australians need to be careful also.
I like a bit of sun but after 4PM when lotions are not needed over here.
Mad dogs and Englishmen had better watch out for the midday sun this Friday in our 'Flaming June' month.

Garage List
I still think this weekend is going to be an outlier in terms of results so the form book isn't a great predictor. Since this thread is about choosing the top ten I will wildly guess:

1. PIA
2. RUS
3. NOR
4. VER
5. HUL
6. LEC
7. ALO
8. HAM
9. GAS
10. TSU

My rationale here is that experience will prevail (similar to what happened in Australia). The order is more random, having someone like Hulkenberg so high up is my prediction that an unplanned event will springboard someone in a less fancied car up the order. He's the lucky one I chose but it is all up to fate, it could be anyone, including a rookie.

RB applied for a Super license for Lindblad, and has been approved. This is to cover the RB stable for any potential race ban for Max.

If Verstappen gets at least a 1 point penalty in Canada or Austria: Hadjar @ Red Bull Racing for 1 race weekend + Lindblad @ Racing Bulls for 1 race weekend.

The current Verstappen-Russell WDC gap: 36 points (137 - 111). The irony: if Verstappen gets a race ban, it serves Russell's best interests not to push for victories in the next GPs and Spa Sprint. For Russell, Verstappen should remain WDC top 3 this Summer. For, if Russell pushes Verstappen to WDC P4 this Summer, Verstappen can trigger the exit clause of his RBR contract and, as a free agent, could take Russell's Mercedes seat. Even if Verstappen is still WDC P3 this Summer, still he can leave RBR, but not as a free agent (substantial financial penalty). It's not clear which "Summer race" will be the decisive one for the exit clause: it is rumored to be Austria, but Silverstone, Spa, Budapest and Zandvoort will all be raced this July and August.

So far, Verstappen consistently repeated that, in principle, he remains at RBR until 2028. Once that Toto Wolff will have announced in the foreseeable future that Russell got a Mercedes contract extension, we may assume that Verstappen has finally said "no" or "not now" to Wolff. So far, Wolff seems to keep a holding pattern, still willing to sacrifice Russell for Verstappen in 2026. It could explain the nervosity and 'big boy' claims by Russell. It's clear that there is bad blood between Verstappen and Russell. Russell knows that he's at risk to get "Sainz'd".

Any assumption by Piastri and Norris that Verstappen will race conservatively in Canada and Austria to ensure avoiding a point penalty, will be a mistake. As always, he's gonna race for the win. And after Austria, two penalty points automatically expire (11 to 9 out of 12 (race ban)).

If Stroll doesn't participate to the Canadian race weekend (unlikely, because it's his home race, except if he's declared medically unfit): Aston Martin reserve drivers Drugovich and Vandoorne are scheduled to participate in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Drugovich could be asked to sacrifice Le Mans for the Canadian race weekend.

my understanding is Iwasa to drive and Lindblad to be reserve

whether Hadjar or Lawson gets the drive will say a lot about Lawson's future at RB

no Russell will want to show how good he is so that he can be marketable as a F1 driver, salary negotiation etc etc. so he will push. there is no guarantee that not pushing will keep Max in P3 and there is no guarantee that Max in P3 won't displace him at Merc. the stuff that Max does on track to win or to keep someone behind is beyond anyone's wildest imagination. if Max wants to leave, Max will make it happen. contract or not.
