Do you let car insurance prices dictate what car you buy?
My insurance is crazy. I have 4 violations over the past 3 years and I am almost 23 years old. I am going to be getting myself either an E90 330i, E46 M3 or something else. I am curious as to how many people let insurance prices/quotes dictate what car you end up buying. Do you buy the car you want less than the other because insurance is cheaper? Or is it smarter to get exactly what you want regardless? Here is an example...
I received a quote from USAA on each of these cars: -2006 330i $253 (with a $500 deductable) $237 (with a $1,000 deductable) -2001 M3 $331 (with a $500 deductable) $316 (with a $1,000 deductable) The weirdest quote I got from USAA was that of a 2005 Corvette... $285 per month! For a 12.5 second 400hp Mr. Nasty! So if I were to buy the car I really wanted I would be paying $80.00 per month LESS on and already high insurance.
