The current 5 series design made it in 2003 for MY 2004. The MY 2007 5-series just came out 2 months ago or so. Includes minor modificaitons like the Audio Aux input, tire pressure monitor for each tire and some other things. I remember hearing the the new look 5-series would be ready for 2009 or 2010. I personally think the 5 series is the best looking sedan out there today. It will be hard to top, but I'm sure they will add a couple more inches to it as the interior between the 3er and the 5er is very small at this point.

As I read in a car-magazine, the new 5 series (beginning with the sedan) should come out in 2008 - but in a new design (in- and outside), better materials and more sportive as the presently one. The front
looks more dynamic (a little bit as the E90/91 and also E92) and the rear is heavier through new bigger lights. And one of the most important thing, for which BMW stood in earlier times, the dashboard looks like the E39 and E46 - not so straight as in the present model. All together itīll be a very beautiful car!!!
