Photoshop Ideas for a Photo
Alright, I have an art assignment that's due on Tuesday and the assignment is to edit the photo I turned in and make it "different."
Here's the photo - I got 100% on this photo when I turned it in like this so I'm afraid my poor Photoshopping will hurt my grade I need ideas! |

1. Go into photoshop and find the "Rotate image 90 degrees" function. (if you dont have photoshop, go buy it)
2. Click that function twice. 3. Done. (your image is upside-down which has now violated physics through evidence of "the anti-gravity dog" which is pretty "different" if you ask me) |

what you could do is try to take the same shot with your dogs eyes open and ears perked and chop it into this picture. Really not much you can work with.

It doesn't seem to be a versatile pic - it's good as it is. There is a big contrast with the B&W and color, but that's the point of leaving only one object colored - to stand out (and you are applying a PS technique). You can cut out the dog and put him on another background too.

I cropped and added some light vignetting to make the eyes focus on the subject easier. Also sharpened it a bit, brought out the shadows, toned down the highlights, and added a light sepia filter. Not sure if you like it, but just food for thought.

Ahhhh I like it. The original's focal point is on the nose of the dog, or the brightest part of the photo - which is wrong! I like how you adjusted it so the focus was on the eyes of the subject.

Copied layer twice, 2nd and 3rd set to overlay and color burn. Used a brush set to color mode. Leveled. Might've overdone the contrast.

You should have painted the toe nails pink. Instant win.
Personally, I would have went Picasso on it and just chopped it into many different pieces and blended them together, and painted it green and orange to make some crazy thayng--and called it the Abomination. Mostly because the picture is contemporary looking in it's original form, so I would've wanted to go 360 on it in the "I'm-an-eccentric-artist-don't-diss-my-art-or-I'll-throw-a-tantrum" sort of way. Were you only allowed to work with the one picture? Because you could have meshed it with some others. |

You know what, our next assignment was to create a pattern from it. So I thought of the basics: tiles. And I came up with a collage using a fun little program called Andrea Mosaics. Came out with this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/27972601@N04/2959348737/
Above the photo, hit "ALL SIZES" and you'll get the 1024 resolution. You can see it's made up of many many photos and most of them are different pictures of the dog and a lot of pictures of cars, all of which were taken by me XD |
