wats up with "gtr" these days............

well... every time im out in the street i gota see a badge that will say gtr. gti, etc.......... for example..

vw gti
nissan gtr 35
pontiac grand am gt
porshe gt3
infinity gt
mustang gt
bentley continental gt etc.......................

i mean wtf.... is there gonna be a time in which we gonna be saying.... "i wanna test drive the new bmw m3 gt"

well gt refers to "gran turismo" and grand touring.

the badge is plastered to everything with sporty intentions these days.

mustang gt. murcielago r-gt. f50 gt. gt500. m3 gtr. gt-r. etc etc

it's like a trend...only i think it'll last forever.

The GT* badge has been around for a really long time... perhaps you are just noticing it cause of all the hype the GTR created?

It not only goes to cars but video games too... ie GT 1-5....
