97 328i snow tire help

Once again needing to buy snow tires...Blizzaks life ended last spring. Not sure if they are the best tire to buy again...any suggestions? Michigan winters to deal with...snow, slush, ice. Never had wheels for them either...always switched out for $$$...worth getting wheels also...if so, alloy or steel?

I'm still hearing Blizzaks for daily driver types, for what it's worth. I'm going with Dunlop Wintersports which are essentially a winter performance tire.
