Need E34 525i Tire Recommendation
Hey guys,
I need some recommendations for tires for my E34 525i which is my DD. Don't need anything special, just something that will give good performance for the money and will last. I've been running some cheap Negotiators for awhile now, (IIRC around 4 years?) and they still have some fight left in them. My tire specifications are: P295/65 R15 92H for both front and rear. So far I have been looking at the following tires: Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS $81.00 General Altimax HP $64.00 Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S $109.00 I plan on buying these tires from Tire Rack and then taking them to a autoshop I trust in the area. All these tires have excellent/superior ratings on TireRack's website with the General Altimax having a very small edge over the Bridgestone Potenza followed by the Michelin Pilot Exalto also very close behind. I'm also open to other suggestions! ![]() |

I bought some Falken Azenis ST115's for my Z a while ago. 200 bucks a piece. They replaced the stock Bridgestone RE040's and they were much quieter. They, however, let go in the rain pretty quickly as far as I can tell.

I use 205/65/15 Bridgestone Blizzaks for the winter and Sumitomo HTR-Z II's in 245/40/18 for the summer. Both are great tires on my 95 E34 525i.
Also, you ill have better luck at bimmerforums.com in the E34 section in terms of an accurate reply as E34s are a different offset, camber, etc from an E9x. |
