ok we are all excited about the new years release of the 3g soft unlock, myself anxious and estatic
![]() so tmobile 3g will not be supported with an unlocked 3g phone?

yes, the unlock will come out next week, BUT. It only works with baseband (modem firmware) 2.11.07 or earlier. This is the version that came out with iPhone OS 2.1. OS 2.2 has newer version. So if you are running non-jailbroken 2.2, even if you jailbreak it now, your baseband version will not be supported.
This also applies to ALL new iPhones sold after 2.2 came out.
