Things are always a little spooky on 9-11 in nyc
Lots of cops in subway stations...even more army reserves in grand central

Still surprised we havent seen one structure come up yet down there in 7 yrs.

The beams will be shining 2nite as well...

oh and something a friend said that was lil inappropriate but kind of made me chuckle....

I was on a United flight flying from Chicago to Miami that morning when it happened. It was frightening to say the least. Especially when the captain told us we had to make an emergency landing because of a mechanical problem. That was the story we got, since all planes had just been ordered to land ASAP.

I will never forget that day... ever.

Hi guys and gals. I just want to take a few seconds to remind everyone to not forget about what happened on 09/11/01. Please take a moment to remember and pay respect all the people that lost there life that day due to people that don’t want us to have freedom.

Also, Take a moment to remember all the military people that have lost there life fighting for the cause.

I was still in the military the day it happened. That in and of itself is not remarkable or unique (in this context) but WHERE I was at the time is. We were on a 6 month deployment to Riyadh in Saudi Arabia working Patriot Missile Defense of the No-fly zone from Iraq. That afternoon myself and others in the platoon were in our villa (built by the Bin Laden family coincidentally-Bin Laden Construction Co.) waiting to go to work. Eskan Village is about a 20-40min drive depending on traffic. Someone came in and yelled for us to change the television to the news. We watched in horror as the events of that morning unfolded. Eventually we had to leave to head to work and relieve the dayshift guys. But what I most remember besides the actual events in NYC and Pentagon were the Saudis driving by giving us the bird, cutting us off, etc, etc. Granted I don't think the majority of them even KNEW what had happened yet, this was a daily occurence for us, but nevertheless we felt.....Lets just suffice it to say I will never forget that day or the brothers I have lost in the following years.

It's crazy to think it has been 7 whole years. Hard to believe, but I was in the 6th grade. Now in college and it seems like it was only a few years ago.
