For me, I was able to use my down payment I was saving on a 1er, and use it to pay off the wife's car. So my monthly payment on this car is actually less than the payments I was paying for my 325i lease and wife's car. So I end up with a great car, and a smaller total car payment bill each month!

Are there as many mods for the M3 as there are for the 1 series ?
I can imagine getting the M3, then reading something about and ECU mod and thinking... here we go again 500Bhp!!

Yah, plenty of mods you can do on the M3, like the 1er. Some cosmetic, some performance. Plenty of vendors sell on the M3 forums, some of them are the same who sell here for the 1er.

Awesome car! Sorry I missed this thread! You should change your moniker to 3to1to3 now
I'd almost consider the cloth seats if I got one. I like your color combo though. |

Nope, I meant the "Anthracite and Black Cloth/Leather" interior that BMW offers as the no cost interior on the M3. It's really grippy too. |

Yah, I saw the cloth option, but there aren't actually any cars around on lots that have it, so couldn't really consider it. But it does look nice on the configurator. The color combo I got is the closest available to the AW/Terra combo I was looking at in the 1er. Unfortunately they don't have Terra on the M3.

I like the 3 series sedan but never loved it. For some reason the M3 sedan looks really, really good. Maybe it’s the coupe fascia and rims or something but it just looks so tight. Congrats I’m sure you will love it.
