N1 Wireless Networking...Worth It?
so im looking into a new wireless setup. right now i have a standard linksys wireless g router with a hawking broad band booster adapter. it serves as a good router but when it comes to farther ends of the house, expecially in the basement (router located above) it is hard.
so im in the market for a new setup and the one that caught my eye is the belkin n1 router. now a few questions i have are: 1. the other 2 computers in the house are using a linksys g network card, will it still be able to connect through the n1 router? 2. obviously for optimal performance the n1 router should be mated with the belkin n1 network cards, but with the other computers still on the linksys wireless g cards, will they benefit at all? 3. n1 router still ps3 and 360 friendly? 4. is the pci network cards better than the usb ones or that doesn't matter? thanks for help guys

2. No benefit unless you upgrade to N 3. It is backwards compatible so it should work but I've heard people having problems with their PS3's. 4. Not sure if it makes a difference. Should be the same. |
