Test Drives
Can a cop pull you over on a test drive and if so what can he do?? Like if its a 35 and I am going 65, would the cop bother to pull you over if you are test driving a car? Or if he pulls you over and finds out its a test drive, would he ticket you?? Does it go on your record, what if the salesperson was telling you to go fast? I have always wondered, so dont take it too seriously and flame at me.

I am one of those people that actually has gotten a ticket on a test drive. At least I was testing out a Lotus Elise.

As someone that worked in car sales for a number of years, I have seen many people get ticketed for moving violations while test driving (none while I was in the car, fortunately). Once, I saw an officer had pulled over two test drivers at once and was ticketing both.

You can infer a few things from his post.

Well...we have 2 confirmed now LOL.
But I will answer your question as to not frustrate you further. I was implying that the original question(s) were likely posed by someone naive, maybe young and inexperienced and he also seems like a person who looks to blame others for his own personal issues. These characteristics are common in people who voted for Obama, not all mind you, but many, maybe even most. It may sound like I am being critical of him, I promise you I am not. His questions sound genuine, but I recognized the pattern of thought. This could be construed as a sarcastic observation though, I can accept that. |

Obama will be the best for this country. Face it, McCain would have driven us into the earth. I dont think I need to explain further.
As for speeding when test driving.. That is one of the most UN-smart things to do. First off, you dont even own the car. Second, its illegal. Third, speeding overall is very unsafe and dumb. But, its not like Im gonna stop you so.. |
