God, was that a lame main event. Ufc should give the fan a bailout for that crappy ppv. Anderson looked liked a fighter fighting not to lose instead of a fighter fighting to win. Reminds me of tim sylvia syndrome

I didn't think Silva looked like he was fighting not to lose, but he certainly didn't look like he was fighting to win. At first I thought he was just trying to get some work in because his other fights have been relatively short, but based on this fight and his last fight with Cote he's not showing that killer instinct that got him to where he is. He didn't feel threatened by Leites by Leites standing, and he didn't want to go to the ground despite Leites' constant dropping down. All in all, it was a boring and frustrating fight to watch.
IMO the fight of the night was Chuck vs Shogun though. |
