Advertising?
I love advertising and was thrilled to take this class, even at 8 in the morning, but unfortunately, the class is horrible
There is no book for the class, just a bunch of power point slides put into a "book" that are impossible to read and sort through. Trying to find anything is useless because there's no index, no glossery, no definitions in the back, and it doesn't even say what chapter you're in on the page so you have to sticky note all the chapters. Anyways, I can't find what the heck he is asking me, and searching online dind't provide much more of an answer. He wants us to "Identify three different sources of the message that could be persuasive, if used in a campaign for your assigned offering [ Mine is a Pontiac Solstice GXP]. Assume that you joined a team charged with designing an experiment to see which one of the three sources would actually be most effective in persuading your target audience." ??? What are sources of messages? I don't know if anyone here will know but if you could point me in the right direction at least I would appreciate it lol.

Television, radio, newspaper, telemarketing, mall-poll, billboard, neighborhood canvassing, junk mailing?

The message with the Solstice GXP is power, speed, excitement. Heavy on excitement, for that is Pontiac's new mission statement.
So how in the Excitement Campaign do you send this message? What are the sources of the excitement message is how I see this. What, when you watch a commercial or read the brochure ticks that mental cue in your brain that says, "I must have this car "?

Yah it just ended....pretty funny movie. The Love Interest was cute, the 'stang was awesome, and the driving fantastic! Glad I don't live in Tokyo!!
Hey Nikki, you should PM neuronpetkowski, he runs an advertising company, check out his website!!!!!!! He's a marketing genius who has done a lot of work in the auto industry! LOL He's on my buddy list too! The buddy list is just so you can see who is online that you like, and it's also good when you're organizing a meet, you can pm everyone that way. Neuronpetkowski is also on my list, he's brilliant.

hi nikki.
i'd be more than happy to help you out with this class. just let me know. here's a tag you should have used for the Pontiac Soltice GXP: "Should I stay or should I go?"...[The Clash play in the background...] "Voiceover:" You should always go..." but the more realistic tag should be: "The Pontiac Soltice is the poorman's Porsche Boxster...Stay rich. Get the Porsche". Sorry, it's hard being creative in 4 minutes...
