They're pretty crazy! Then you'll wish you had one when you come back home.

As hot as it can be, I would wear jeans as much as possible. Mosquito bites can swell pretty big there for some reason. I would tell you long sleeves as well...but that's hardly bearable.

Yep, that's it. It's the one where they had a laser shot out at the top of the little island, and that's the island...I had a pic of it taken, but misplaced it somewhere...

James Bond Island is cool, the excursion also includes Sea Canoe rides through caves. I also suggest an excursion to Phi Phi Island... beautiful water and a cool little city.

Food wise, all the mom & pop thai restaurants are good... but if you want great food and wine while you're there... I highly suggest The Boathouse.

BTW, it will be hot...all the time. You'll be in an air-conditioned room or building, it can be dark outside and you'll think, "Oh, good. It's night time so at least it's cooled down a bit." Nope, not at all. It's still just as hot and sticky as it was during the day.

I guess with my jeans comment, light-weight jeans is the ideal. Worse though, is getting a mosquito bite that swells up and only having jeans on to agitate it. Do bring some shorts a) for comfort (can't take the heat), b) if you are bit so to not agitate the bite area.

Omg Phu-ket.. ah the memories. I was there back in the late 90's and 2000, all at Patong Beach so none of this may or may not be relevant.

- All three times I stayed at the Duangjitt Hotel.. totally pimp and when I went totally reasonable in cost. Had a private hut/bungalow and the pool/bar is fantastic. Not too far from the main strip.

- Don't be scared to do a nut-check on any girl you hook up with. Seriously, don't be shy and grab that package down south to make sure you know what you're getting into.

- Leave enuf room in your luggage for the 6,000 souvenirs and trinkets your going to come back with.

- Make it out to Karon Beach, take a tuk-tuk there and it's a little more secluded and not as tourist-ee.

- Do an elephant safari ride

- Make it out to one of the tours of the temples they have.. totally vivid colors/architecture

- If in Patong, stay far far far away from Andaman Queen bar. No really, stay far away.

- It is going to be hotter than Hades and about 300 degrees kelvin this time of year - or at least feel like it mostly because of the humidity.

- Don't f@#$ with the monkeys whatever you do, they will haunt you like Jason if you do

- James bond island is pimp and has a long pier that makes for world-class pictures on sunset. Fair warning that the boat ride to there is no-joke. Picture a V8 engine strapped to a banana boat and the boatdriver laughing his ass off at the tourists.. you get the idea.

It will be a massive blur you can't remember anyways, but it will be fun. Ah Phu-ket how I miss thee...
