Porsche says a time of under 7:56 for stock GTR is not possible without modification. Does Sport Auto concur?

Guess not. Horst Von Saurma runs 4 practice laps before the supertest lap right? Well, he still managed a 7:38.

It's in German, who wants to translate?

According to someone at finalgear, "All in all they said, that the car is fucking amazing, and performs like a dream, totally safe, perfect engine, best Double Clutch System on the Market and so on... If only Nissan didn't post such low times, the expectations wouldn't have been as high..."

How did they get owned? Only Nissan can recreate the times they claim, no one else can.

This GTR did not have the opt
ional tyres and wheels. That should be worth at least 8seconds! I was expecting it to be slower to be honest..

They said that last year on a completely different car with different options.

Sure HvS knows the ring, but only 4 practice laps in a car he has very little seat time in vs. Porsches? Seems that with more time under his belt a la Nissian's test driver who pounded out hundreds of laps in a GT-R, several seconds shouldn't be a problem to find.

Seems to put the factory times within the error threshold that HvS can get vs. factory drivers, including Porsches.

Nice ad hominem. To go to your level, I'd have to suggest that there is no point in you reading about Porsches or GT-Rs as you'll never be able to afford one.

Back on point, Porsche was referring to a standard Euro spec GT-R. The same car Horst drove. I won't bother to dig up the quotes, because its obvious that your agenda is simply to bash the GT-R.
