I'm not sure where exactly to post this under so I thought General would be the best bet.

Do/Would you guys stay with a brand (doesn't necessary have to be BMW) based on the service you get from the local dealership?

I'll use my friend as an example. He has an IS250 and has been getting great service from the local Lexus dealership he bought the car from. Now he's looking to upgrade to an IS-F, and he is also considering the usual..M3 and C63. He is likely to go with the IS-F because he's had great service with the same dealership already. Even though I re insured him that the BMW dealership across the street, where I bought and service my car, would treat him well too if he were to go with the M3 route.

Ironically, I put myself in the same situation and I would go with the M3, even if my friend told me how good the Lexus dealership is, based on my previous experiences at the dealership.

Well I brought a 335 because the Audi dealer treated me and my old Audi A8 like crap, and i'm glad I did. BMWs service has been way more than I would have expected.

surprisingly of all dealerships and i mean ALL dealerships of any brand in my area, my BMW dealership is the only one that was mature, serious and great to deal with
twice so far ive gone to them and have been treated well besides one incident with the service department but im over it
would like to check out other BMW dealers around but so far, im happy

I've had an Infiniti and a BMW in the US and Infiniti customer service was by far better than BMW's.
They always have a G35/37 loaner available whenever i drop of my car.

The service experience in LA dealerships is pretty bad so I guess it really depends on where you live.... I would be driving a Lexus if I based my decision on the service experience.

I would stay with my own brand only if their cars were much better than the competition. Otherwise, there's always going to be a place that treats you well; you just have to find it. My modified 350Z was well-received by my Nissan dealership; yet I went to get a BMW after.

Maybe when I am older I would probably look at long-term dealership experience.

I almost didn't buy another BMW because the service from the 1st dealership that I had bought from was so incredibly bad. Fortunately, I have a chioce of several dealers so I found one that has so far been much better. Still, my wife's car is a Lexus and they really do try harder on service.

I wouldn't decide which car to get based on service experience. We all know that you can get a terrific experience at Kia dealership and POS experience at BMW. You just have to find the right dealer.
