Mosly puts FIA-FOTA deal in jeopardy!
Just 24 hours after Mosley reached a deal with FOTA to end the threat of a breakaway series, he has reacted angrily to what he calls 'false claims' made by FOTA about the nature of their agreement.
Mosley wrote in the letter to FOTA chairman Luca di Montezemolo: "Given your and FOTA's deliberate attempt to mislead the media, I now consider my options open, …at least until October, I am president of the FIA with the full authority of that office.” Mosley is furious that FOTA representatives have claimed that FIA Senate president Michel Boeri is now in change of F1, that he himself was forced out of office and that he would have no role in the FIA once he steps down in October. The guy just won’t go away!

Max Mosley has revealed that he is under pressure to stand for re-election after admitting that he does not expect to receive the apology he demanded from FOTA president Luca di Montezemolo.
Mosley told the newspaper Mail of Sunday: "They made the mistake of dancing on my grave before I was buried"

It is pretty clear from all of this childish nonsense coming from Max Mosley that he couldn't really care less about the future of F1. all max cares about is max, and that is really pathetic coming from the president of a sport.

FOTA representatives walked out of a meeting with the FIA on Wednesday (July 8) after being told they had not been entered into the 2010 championship and would have no say in finalizing cost-cutting measures.
Meanwhile, the head of BMW Sauber, Mario Theissen, has confirmed that FOTA are keeping "all options open". Although there is confidence the matter will be resolved within the next fortnight, whilst a degree of uncertainty remains, so does the threat of a breakaway series.

Mosley wrote twice to Di Montezemolo prior to Wednesday meeting reminding him the five teams who had entered under the budget cap rules had to unanimously agree the revised regulations. The five teams currently entered in the 2010 have a contract with the FIA not even the general assembly or world council can abrogate.
The stumbling block, as far as the federation is concerned, relates to the signing of a new Concorde Agreement. It is very much a chicken-and-egg situation over what is agreed first – the new regulations or the new Concorde Agreement – as both are intrinsically linked. At present it seems probable a final draft of the 2009 Concorde Agreement will be agreed and ready for signature in the coming days. If that is the case, and all parties sign up, the latest breakaway threat will be averted and Formula One will be back on track for next year. However, in light of events of the past few weeks, and especially the last 24 hours, few will bet on that happening.
