i dated a girl once, and she was my boss. I asked her once we started (started drunk one night, and woke up in her bed), if she was going to fire me once we broke up. of course she said no. guess what happened once i broke it off. she didnt even wait two days before she canned me

haha, to the OP.
Dating someone at work is how I met my wife. We both started off at Andersen Consulting (Now Accenture). Accenture and all of the Big 4 accounting/consulting firms are loaded with young people straight out of college. Anyways, I met her in the office when I was on the "beach" between consulting assignments. Hung out with her and then met up outside of the office. we never worked on the same assignment and were the same level, so its not a boss/underling type of thing. Long story short, she left Accenture to go to Goldman Sachs and I no longer work at ACN either. We've been married 9 years and have 2 kids... message - You can date whomever you want. I'd advise dating anyone reporting to you or that you report to; Nonetheless - office romances happen all the time.
