e90 or z4?
wsup guys.(n the few girls)
anyhow. today at work I saw the new z4 in red that the car wash guy was washing and now of course I want one. the Z4 is pretty sick now, I believe that is no longer a chick car. Its wider, more aggressive and just sick at least in my opinion. btw the interior is sweet so naturally I log on to my local BMWs website and see that they are having a special on the Z4 for $0 down for $479 for 30 month lease. The thing is that I have only had my 09 328i for only 7 months and now I want to trade it in for the Z4. http://www.southbmw.com/BMW-dealer-m...-specials.html soo, who here thinks I should do the trade? Who still thinks that the z4 is a chick car? and my final question is, will my 19s LC LM wheels fit the Z4 if I was to do the trade? in the end I know its up to me and what I like, blah blah blah I just wanna hear your guys opinions. let the discussions begin... Thanks |

The new Z4 was designed by chicks for MEN! Seriously it is awesome...best looking car BMW mass produces at present (and I think to date) imho both exterior and interior. You get two cars in one: convertible roadster and a slick coupe. Mate it to the twin turbo flat 6, a few mods and you got one incredible sports car.

Remember there's two engine sizes, and the offer seems to be for the 3.0. I've driven a 335xi and Z4, and the Z4 was certainly more "frightening", but in a good way... I went for the 335, my wife "commandeered" it, so I'm about to jump on a Z4 too!!!
I'd definitely do a test drive, but only after you've run the numbers to see if you can take the hit! |

I had an E86 Z4MC before trading it for an E90 M3 after one year. The Z4MC is a brilliant car but does lack in the little things that I personally find useful like cargo space, ride comfort, year-round operation. I travel a lot on long distance and a two-seat car did not make it for me.
Styling wise, the E85 Z4MC is I think better than the E90 M3 but for the rest the M3 is superior in every way. The E89 Z4 IMO follows the same path as the E85/86 Z4. I have seen a few and I think the M3 works better for me except for the styling. I think the Z4 is a perfect third car to drive top down during the few nice days of sunshine in my area. I may buy an E85 Z4 for just that purpose next year. Good luck. |

EDIT: never mind...tax tags license $1000 down + $1000 acq fee... that is like over $5000! haha
what is close end lease mean? like you can't buy the car at the end of the lease or something? does not state mileage allowance but I would assume 10k per year?

I'm going to the dealer now since the price just dropped from $480 a month to $440 a month for 30 months. I know I will be upside down but lets see if they can work with me. |

I've gotten used to the fugly looks of the E89 Z and now think it's pretty nice looking from certain angles.
For the comfort and passable performance, I'd choose E89 over E90 any day. But if you really want sportiness without compromise, then save half the price by picking up an E86M. Not trying to be biased here but... that is the car with the MOST bang for buck at this moment. Soften up the ride with new coilovers from the savings from not buying new. |
