To move from NY to Cali, should I just send everything out or use a company that moves your stuff?

if you have a few pieces of furniture such as a bed, bed frame, tables, etc... just go with the mover... but if all your stuff can be packed in boxes... why not.

It's about 21 boxes. Ranging from 10lbs to 50lbs.

I'd get the movers just for the convenience of having them pick up my stuff and deliver it when and where I wanted it delivered. Although last time I used movers I lost a few lamps, it was not a huge deal though. With UPS I feel like it would take more time from you to find appropriate boxes for things and pack them up. My movers packed everything up and they were responsible for any damage or loss.

UPS seems like the way to go since it's trackable, insured, and cheap. And its actually probably faster than a mover if I am going across the country.

make sure the boxes can live being thrown out of a second story window, thats what ups is going to do with them (then again so will the movers + they will sit on them)

i dont think ups is going to be cheaper though, 50 pounds is like 30$ i thought
