Oh, the sheer beauty that is German engineering. The BMW's styling just shimmers in photographs.

Interesting how the BMW looks the most 'athletic' of the three.
The Audi looks heavy, serious but tough, the C looks like a shrunken, low-cost version of some larger car.

My impression...

I think the side shots show it best -- you can't really beat the E90!

I like the way the arrow is pointing at the E90 in the second photo!

Keep in mind the e90 is new design of the bunch. A4 and C series are basically the same design since 01 with some freshening. Might be a different story in a year or two.

Yeah, the MB C-class is starting to look old now.
In 2,5 weeks I can post a little photoshoot of B7 A4 vs. E90 too.

Is the A4 a new design? I thought they just changed the tail lights and the grill to get a couple more years out of it before the complete redesign? I know they didn't change the platform at all.

Everything but the grill and tail lights looks exactly like my 2003 A4 did.

When I am shopping around for a girl, I usually check out the rear too.

I don't think the Audi or MB designs for this class of car can touch the BMW. Historically, those two competitors' designs have been simply uncool.

I could be remembering all wrong but Audi claimed to magazines tnat this is the new generation A4, the refresh version was in 02. That is also why many editors were disappointed because not a lot was changed.

This 2005.5 A4 is supposedly an "interim" design. I've seen a few articles here and there, and many spy shots of the new A4 due in 1-2 years.

The next generation A4 should be available in 2008, according to various german magazines.

the new a4 is not a new model its just a facelift that they did to it the c class has been with us for some years the e90 is just new blood that wants to eat the world, yes you are right in a few years time things might change but the bmw have put the standard extremely high and its going to be very hard for competitors to beat bmw

I do have to say that I'm fond of the uni-grill look for the A4. But the rest of the car looks like a typical sedan.

When you see them in person they look anything but typical... The paint is fantastic and really stands out on an Audi.

The BMW looks bold.

The Audi looks classy.

Nice pics, I too think that the e90 stands out amoung the three. It looks more sporty! It's nice to see all three together like that!

From what I nderstand, the new A4 is a refresher. A totally redesigned in and out will be out in 08'/09'. The style will be based on the Audi Nuvolari concept. The current A4 exterior was updated but the interior remains genarally the same as the 02.
