Man....it seems like there are no end to companies in Europe that will sponsor a race car. So many small series over there with insanely expensive and well backed cars Wish it was like that here in the US.

Actually Superstars is becoming a big time series with a small cost required to compete.
The two BMW teams I have been in contact with can give you a competitive, podium contending ride for only 300K per season. Ten weekends, with two sprint races per weekend. V8 touring car racing against top Euro racing drivers for that kind of money is why there are sponsors. It is good value for them. I am currently trying to get American companies who operate in Europe to look at this series. For what one NASCAR Cup race would cost they can run a good program all year in the Superstars. BTW-the same people who own World SuperBike also run this. The closest thing in N.America is Conti Challenge, but that isn't as high profile as Superstars and almost as expensive. Sorry, should have been clearer
300K USD is for rental and prep for one season of racing in a BMW M3 E92.
Your other cost is personal expenses and paying the first $5000 of any crash damage. Superstars has the best cost vs perceived value to sponsors that I have ever seen. Put a 400k sponsorship deal together and you'd make a hundred k -plus prize money-driving V8 racing cars against ex F1 drivers. (If I were 22 years old again this is what I would do. A ride in a top f3 car 30 years ago was 250k and you couldn't find many sponsors. Nor did you have much chance of getting anywhere, even if you did.)
