When I was in HS, I knew I wanted to go into finance. Majored in that in the 1st yr, then decided to get a deg. in accounting as well in case I couldn't get a job in finance. Senior year, I applied to law schl in case I couldn't get a job anywhere. Ended up getting a job in finance, but [stupidly] decided to quit after the summer was over and went to law school for corporate/M&A law. Worst decision ever.

Luckily, I got an MBA while I was in law school, so when I graduated, I ended up w/a nice job in corp. finance. I continue to work in finance and will never go into law. It does, however, look impressive on the resume to have earned 4 business-related degrees in 6 years. Sallie Mae's bill is a monthly reminder of how stupid I was to have gone to law school though.

I did Exercise Science and am currently in the military as a Med Service Officer...i guess I'm doing something relating to it by the amount of PT we do in the military

It was easy. I just followed my heart and decided to become a Registered Nurse. That’s not to say I didn’t put in any effort in finding the right program. I looked at various schools and their programs before deciding to get my associate degree in nursing.

I switched from Administration of Justice to Political Science - Public Service @ UC Davis...I hate poli-sci; I absolutely despise it. It is uninteresting for the most part, and there is way too much writing about hypothetical situations. I'm transferring schools effective June 7, and my major is back to the original (I'm 85% done with all the major requirements for AJ anyways). I want to go into law enforcement, either federal or local so that major is fine. By the time I graduate next april I will have 17 months left on my GI Bill, so I'm gonna go for my masters in some broad field like business or something. That should offset my limited AJ bachelor's degree.

I started with sports medicine. Now I switched to business management 2 years later. Its all about what you enjoy doing. I chose business because it comes to me natural, I dont even study for my classes and have A's. Sports medicine I worked my ass off and had no life to get A's and B's

I had like 6 or 7 majors before settling on Econ, which I picked not because it came easy to me, but because it didn't. I took an econ prereq for when I was an undecided business major and barely got a C in it, but it was interesting to me and knew it was good material to know just for life and if I decided to go into grad school. I also wanted (or needed) to prove to myself that I could do it. I got a 3.5 GPA in econ

Philosophy, then wildlife biology, followed by environmental science. Philosophy because I always enjoyed the hell out of discussing and debating social, political, and religious issues. Realized that a philosopher has VERY FEW job options. Switched to wildlife biology because I enjoyed the outdoors and animals. Found out i have no love for biology and switched to Environmental science...to try and save the world/hug trees or something. Post graduation found out there were a shitload if idealogical fools out there that were more studious and willing to work for $10 an hour saving the world and hugging trees. Not working in the field...but I needed a degree to get a commission in the air force so i guess i'm using it.

I studied economics and work in the field.

When I was younger I thought I'd study mechanical engineering because I loved machines. My family, however, had a lot of connections to finance (my father traded on the floor of the CBOT, his father had a firm on Wall St, all family friends were in finance). One day I had an epiphony. I realized that the economy was essentially the biggest and most complex machine anyone could possibly imagine. Ever since that day it's been nose to the grindstone and i've loved every minute of it.

I loved the sciences in high school, and really enjoyed physics. I did well in those classes in high school too, so I thought that Physics would be a cool degree to have, and play with lasers (sharks optional, although my college days predate Austin Powers....) In high school, I was voted "Most Likely to be a Rocket Scientist".

As I was graduating college, I decided I didn't like any of the places that were "big" for physics degrees (Fermi Labs, Los Alamos, JPL, etc.) and the Texas super collider project was scrapped, so I decided to stick with the industry that got me through college (the grocery business.)

Now I sell beer.....
