Anyone in on the Tesla IPO?
Iam looking to get short this, asap. Especially if it behaves anything like A123.
This is basically a car company that's sold 1000 cars, has no real engineering depth (Lotus fixes up the Roadster) and a plan based on a single prototype they call the S. It hasn't turned a single profit and much bigger competitors are already here with their all electric offerings. Come on, it costs about $1 billion to engineer a decent car like the Hyundai Genesis. What will the S look like with $100mil?

Too late for this one as it went live today but generally, you need to call your broker (not avail on the websites usually) to express your interest. If it is a reasonably sizeable investment and you are a good customer, they allot you the shares.

I wish I had the time to manage a portfolio like that. Then again, my portfolio looks like a VW Bug compared to some of you
