1. 'BP' didn't lose all that money...the shareholders did. (granted insiders lost too)
2. The stock is already recovering so the loss is already greatly reduced.

Regardless there will be a ~10-20 billion loss on BP's part, but certainly not 100 billion...

chump change for them either way...it's like us dropping a dollar somewhere...i'm sure they have some kind of insurance, for shit like this...and they rented that rig, so they'll find a way to recover that money or most of it some how

im not sure about your areas, but my town, BP gas prices are 15-20cents more expensive than the rest of the stations here...not sure why people fill up there, the only thing i can think of is their stations are very clean and big, and their selections of junk snacks are more abundant...
