How 'bout an E93 ONLY Forum??

This is a great Board, however I think there should be a Forum for E93 owners only.

After all, we are gonna face some unique 'good times' & 'bad times' with this new product-line.

Any thoughts?

I think that would be a gr8 idea but we these cars are quite similar so we don't want to our E92 brothers (and sisters) either.

On order: E93 - SP - PP - WP - Nav - iPod - CA - Monaco Blue / Cream Beige

since the e92 didn't get its own forum, i seriously doubt the e93 will get its own.

The for sale section would be separated into E92/E90....everytime i click a thread thinking, "sweet, im looking for this" turns out it's for an E90...

Or atleast people should list on the title which car they are selling it for...

ahhh monday morning rant

Amount of work to set up & manage an additional forum would be minor (he says, not having to do it himself...). What this really is is a site-architecture question. On one hand, models proliferate and down that path lies madness. On the other, individual forums can be self-policed with internal moderators and this would enable much easier and more focused user access and utility.

Were it me, I'd do it, and then consider a top-level E9X-family site for issues and posts general to this generation of 3-series.

Maybe best reason for site managers to do this: gets ahead of BimmerFest.

Why not try it and, if it tanks, revert?

I am not suggesting this to offend our E92 Brothers, but I think we are going to have some "unique" experiences... again, both Good & Bad (hopefully not too many Bad ones).

Damn good idea.

It would be good not to have to trawl through all of the other 'mess' to read posting about our own models.

Since the only real mechanical difference between the E93 and E92/E90 is the retractable hardtop it doesn't make any sense at all to make an entirely separated forum for the car, I dont think the hardtop would have that many dedicated topics

Hey... this is just a thought.

Although mechanically similar, the modification needs, new top (which is a big deal for BMW) & styling issues WILL be different for this car.

and...as we know, the first Model Year of any changed automobile brings up many issues/challenges.

I am not trying to change anything here. Just make it easier for posters.

clearly my car is not here yet

and i am obsessing like a small child, but where are others? who has them! i've seen five on this site, two of which are in europe. a friend spotted a black/black one in LA (apparently drawing tons of looks at the valet). not saying i want them to proliferate the road, but it seems even more illusory, my having not seen ONE (except in the dealership) since the roll-out ... im dying.

There is one thing that I would love to see. In the Marketplace/Vendors section, a division between the Sedan and Coupes. I personally am sick of looking at something and then finding out that it only works for an E90. Dividing up that section of this forum is a great idea.
