I used to do 15-16k a month

At one point I hit 20k

It's a lot, but it's not impossible

I rarely use the phone.

I only use about 1000 mins a month?

I have to text my drivers throughout the day constantly

That alone is about 500 a week, so that's about 10%.

I text my mom/dad as well

But most of it is friends and girls and such

I'm the type who will send multiple texts at a time rather than make it into one super long text.
(notice how I don't write paragraphs? It's easier for one to read if things are spaced out)

Me an Hannah do about 5k texts a month I would think

Remember this is send and receive

So, generally for every text I send I get one back ad well. It adds up pretty quickly

I guess this means one thing. Occasionally, when iPhones do somehow get service, they are extremely able to send lots of text messages.

It's true that the iPhone sucks at making calls

But it's good at everything else for me

I want to try a Droid though, that's for sure

One reason I don't make calls is the shitty service and contant dropped calls

I can send my text(s) and be done with it before the iPhone can even connect to the other side

Plus, with texting, i can be talking to multiple people at once, or on my work line and still texting [couldn't be calling now could i...]

Also my family plan only has 1400 mins (I only use 100, the rest of my minutes are mobile to mobile or A list)
So I have to text.
Otherwise increasing our minute plan will suck

We pay like $260-270/month for 5 lines, 3 of them iPhones
I think that's pretty fair

I text members on this forum a lot

I decided to just go to Apple and get a new iPhone

the clicking noise my phone makes is getting annoying (i did some reading and it seems the heat cause some stuff to not work as designed.. fun)

idk why so many people say they have problems iwth their iPhones... i've never once had a dropped call besides in a bad service area (every phone ive ever owned had bad service in said areas). I think the phone is pretty awesome.

i haven't done 20k in a while

i avg about 12-15k per month now

more around 13k

also, this is my entire family

i think my dad, uncle, and mom do about 2000 together.

5k a month with one person is nothing... i text, she texts, i text... i treat texting like I used to do AIM back in the day

I think i did a typing game on the iphone and it was over 200 characters a minute
I've been using the damn thing for pretty much 4 years... so no surprise there. i can't type on a BB for the life of me lol

I love my iPhone, except this stupid fuzzy camera shit.... and well calls suck for me. it used to not... my calls were crystal clear without being dropped.
But in the last 6 months it's been pretty crappy.

But yeah the main reason my texts add up is because I literally use it like AIM.

and if you have a conversation with 5 people at once it adds up.

Like talking to McMuffin about Mtech parts, then detailing, then the possible rain, then an aero lip, then Angel eyes... shit adds up

if you do 5 texts per minute each, that's 10 texts per minute, you do that for 15 minutes, that's 150 texts. I'm not saying a text=a paragraph. it can be a sentence, a word, or a smiley. it adds up easy

I go through about 500 emails a day as well.... I stay connected to people

I'm at 12653 now haha.

I also get news updates from different agencies, e
and my twitter is linked to my texting.
as is my google voice account.

went in and got my iPhone swapped today on the spot ( i restored to a clean 4.3 and the issue was still present)

fortunately the new iPhone they gave me was on 4.2.1, not on 4.3

So I did a greenpois0n jailbreak



only problem is that the iPhone camera app lens doesn't open

this didn't open from the beginning

he offered to restore it to 4.3 for me in hopes of fixing the issue,.... but i declined saying I'll try it my self
i want a JB damn it! lol

i did some research and it seems it's a memory issue (Strange considering this iPhone is fresh... nothing installed)

but people have fixed it.. so I'll try to fix it

if anyone has any advice I'd love to hear it

BTW Apple replacements won't be on 4.3 for another few weeks, depending on how busy your apple store is.

and tried different methods to get my camera to open....

hard rest

safe mode

open camera app, hold power, then hold home until camera app closes

open camera app but cover both cameras...

reset all settings

nothing

fail

it didn't open even when i got the phone from apple yesterday

but i thought maybe i could fix it... since i knew I could JB 4.2.1 with greenpois0n.

so i can't say the JB caused the problem

fresh phone, never synced, never done anything

i tried the cover both cameras, reset all settings, push vol then press screen, delete photos, hard reboot, safe mode, leave it on for a while, try camera apps, open the app, hold power, then hold home until it's forced to quit....

my phone itself doesn't freeze, i can press the home button top get out
but the shutter doesn't open

I FIXED MY SHUTTER!!!!

No need to restore

what I did was I SMACKED IT hard against my couch

knocked it around a couple times

and it WORKED!!!
