Moving Question
Hey guys, I may be moving soon. I was wondering if there are any moving companies that move your car as well as your stuff. I'm just wondering what to do if my company pays for the moving cost if it has to be all one company, or if I could use two. Anyone have any experiences? Thanks for the help.

If your company pays for the moving cost, save all receipts (gas, hotel, car rental, etc) -- anything that ties to the move. Some companies will cover it all, some will cover some. Speak with your HR rep. Not sure on the dual car/stuff company... I'd think that most will ship a car, too.

Yes the major moving companies like United Van Lines and Mayflower and such can handle it all for you. I move vehicles a couple of times, most times they went on a car carrier and really not the best way to move something you might care about.
One time I moved from the West Coast to the East Coast and I 66 Stang I had fixed up and I arrange to have it put into the Trailer with my household stuff, by far the best way to move a car. |

They are not a sponsor here but Jplogistics has a very good track record with valuable cars, excellent customer service and sometimes you get a gps tracking number to find out where your vehicle is. Might be a bit odd though as your car would travel around with astons and bugattis.

When I moved, the company gave me a fix $$$ and I could use how I wanted and anything I did not spend I got to keep. So I negotiated with United Van Lines to move my cars and the charged almost $1500 to put the car in the trailer, I got that down to $1200 verse $500 for going on a car carrier. That was over 10 yrs ago thou, not sure what the going rate is today.
