New to Flickr... Could use some help :) Thanks!
Hey guys,
I have always used photobucket to host my images and then use the url code to put my pictures up on forums. Its such a process to take them off the camera, put them to my desktop, upload them to PB and then get the codes. I am going to try to LightRoom Flickr publishing service because it skips a few steps. Only thing is I cant find the codes to post up the images and just the images. For example I will grab the html code and it will give me this: IMG_8550.jpg by Al3xMac, on Flickr Here it is without the brackets so you can see the text : url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/64883004@N02/5909832268/]img]http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6028/5909832268_76cd813028_b.jpg[/img[/url] url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/64883004@N02/5909832268/]IMG_8550.jpg[/url] by url=http://www.flickr.com/people/64883004@N02/]Al3xMac[/url], on Flickr All I want out of that is a link to the top picture. It doesnt even need to be clickable. Where can I find that code ? Thanks for your help guys! Alex |

you posted the URL, you just need to select and copy only it. the URL that contains farm7.static.....
http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6028/...cd813028_b.jpg The other option, is to go to the flickr image page, click Actions > View All sizes, select the size of the image you want to use, then copy the URL by right clicking the Download link and Copy Link Location. Does that seem like a lot? I guess after 5 years of using flickr, it doesn't seem like a lot of steps to me.

or you can bypass all of that and right click on the image and save the link from the Copy Image Location option (firefox).

I go to "Grab the HTML/BBCode" and select BB for here and whichever size I want. If you wanted the image only, without the Flickr tag line and address, you simply delete that extra info when you paste it into the Forum window, like this:

^^^ Dave - u beat me to it
easy way to grab the link is go to your image, then next to the actions drop down box, there's 3 tabs in that drop down box -Share this on -Grab link -Grab the HTML/BB code I prefer to grab the BBcode and you can choose the size of the image right there.

thanks for the recommendations guys. I did do the "grab html" but when im putting 10 photos in a thread, its a lot of deleting and stuff. Just wanted to see if there was an option to click all your pictures at once and then have it generate single codes for each. Ie, like in Photobucket I select all my photos and then click generate codes, it will give me an IMG code... Just seeing if I was missing something with Flickr but it seems like Im just being lazy THanks guys!
