Wish the darn thing would have come out at the same time in North America as it does in Europe. Quote:

Footie, isn't the A5/S5 getting a face lift next year and if so would that not affect how next years' North American version will look from the current car?

To the best of my knowledge the biggest change will be the S5 receiving the 3.0SC engine and DSG. |

I think people are missing the point this car so unbelievably well rounded and performs (out performs?) an M3.
Granted it costs more, but that is performance in style... People love their 6 speed M3 and no navigation because they just want the car. I give them props for "driving it like it's meant to be", but I'm a new era. I love cars, I'd consider myself the biggest gear head out there. I look at all sorts of things when it comes to cars. Why do I think I'm apart of the new era? Because I know how much better a machine can statistically compute better shifts than any human can. I also like my creature comforts, which the RS5 is equivalent to the M3 in, but it looks nicer. I may lose time on the "ring" because of all that "weight", but I drive a car to enjoy it all the time and not just on a track. New school accepts what technology has done. If people want to "have more control" by "feeling their car" with their stick shift, props to them. I don't care about how I get the most performance out of my vehicle, as long as it is the maximum. DSG is symbolic of the rift between traditionalists and enthusiasts. I feel that this sort of argument is boiling down to 2 schools of thought: "hey it's heavier, looks nicer, slightly outperforms the M3 for too much money. Why do that when I can get a 6 speed bone stock M3 for ~20k cheaper?" versus "Hey I'm new school, I wouldn't mind paying more for a car whose company is synonymous for DSG, provides nicer interior, is much better for every day life and it looks great" *shrug* |

Hey footie, is there by chance a RS5 nring time? It would be interesting to see the time in comparison to the M3 as well as the other cars in the same price bracket.
Personally I'm not one of those pure drivers that get just the "sports option" and keep it as light as possible. I love comfort and luxury that is incorporated to the car I buy and I'll most definately continue with that trend cuz that's what I want. Do I like performance for my car, you damm right I do but I want my car to be the total package. One that can do it all, not just good in one aspect. |

Rear of RS5 looks like Maserati Gran Turismo S. In fact I would take Maserati Gran Turismo S over Audi RS5. IMO its more beautiful, it is more exclusive and prestigious. By the way, RS5 starts at 77.700 € in Germany. A few options and it is close to 90.000 €.

That's a hot looking car. I don't usually generalize but majority of Audi buyers won't care for 0-60 or ring time, so 335i with JB3 will demolish is really a moot point. Kind of like a dude coming up to me and bragging how hot his b/f is. Great I don't like dudes. Good for you!

So expect a sub 8 min run. I agree that such data/facts are only really important to school kids and sub 25 year olds. |

Do you own an M3 or RS5 and if not, can you even afford one? I've seen nothing but biased useless bullshit posts from you for the past few months and i'm just curious. Thanks ahead of time.
