Well it's more just killing the elite packs in general. I don't die to all of them, and if you give me 10 minutes I can oftentimes get them killed, it's just the Act in general. I could beat it myself if I just pulled the mobs off to the side, died, and ran through, but I want to try something different.

^how i went through act 2

Ive been doing nothing but farming because its damn near impossible for me to go through act 3. Any advice for WD stats?

Right now my build is the perfect mix of fun and utility but my items just arent enough. Off the top of my head i think im at around 20k dps unbuffed with a shield, 35k hp, 888mana, my resist is around 400 each give or take. Cant recall my armor off hand. act 1 is cake to farm through with my MF gear, close to 250 mf with full valor and no shield. Act III is leaps and bounds harder than two and two is leaps and bounds harder than one by a huge margin.

What are some minimum stats for act3 for a WD?

Man, I have been having issues with my laptop running the game, might have to switch back to my desktop but I have been lazy and haven't set it back up yet.

It's weird, I'll hit a spot (seems like more of a timeframe rather than a specific spot in the game) where my FPS just plummets. It is just awful. Then all of a sudden, it's like it catches up and it runs super smooth (even in the same location), only to plummet again eventually. It cycles like that, on and off. All my settings are turned to the lowest possible settings. My laptop is kickass too, I splurged a bit and bought a nice Alienware laptop after my last deployment. Other games seem to run fine, but D3 is sucking.

Either way, it has me stuck on Belial in Inferno. I die, and die, and die... I've gotten him to a small sliver of health numerous times, but then my FPS dives and I get smashed because I wasn't able to move quick enough. I'll be switching back to my desktop to finish him off.

I still play. Yes the game is getting boring, but I'm finding fun leveling new characters (especially in Hardcore). When I say " the game is boring" I'm referring to the only end game content, farming act 3 and ponies. I can't wait for PVP or a ladder season. I play some League of Legends now as well, it awesome and free! Good break from D3 when I feel bored.

Does anyone want to farm with me? I am a currently a Melee CC/CM Wiz with 65000 DPS (ya I know... very OP lol) unbuffed and +70MF unbuffed. Looking for any class that is able to beat Inferno solo, +MF is good to have but not necessary. It's real boring to play this game alone as mentioned above lol. ^_^ ya pretty high for a melee cc/cd wiz, I was playing ranged Piercing Orb/Blizzard/V-Hydra until 3 days ago because I realized how slow and boring the ranged Wiz are. And also I didn't want to get new gears and lower my dps due to the fact that WW will most likely get nerfed in the future. So I was scared and unwilling to change gears for a new build. Now I am amazed how quickly my Wiz can own groups of enemy.

How I did it? The Spectral Blade with LOH rune (not Deepcut) def helped me a lot since I have 0 LOH. Other skills used are WW, CB, DS, RoF, Energy Armor. Nothing new to this build but I highly recommend people use Spectral Blade with LOH rune to save urself some $ on gears or lowering DPS.

I've been farming for a week in Inferno Act 3, and I am reluctant to do another round. The main reason is the low level cap at 60. There is no sense of achievement from farming alone. I mean, I farm items, 99% of them garbage, and I sell the 1% for gold, then what? Upgrade my gear to farm more?

Yea this is what led me to start selling off my gear for $$$ while there was still a large player base. I'm moving onto League of Legends for now until the next "big" game hits.

Who knows though, maybe the pvp patch will resurrect the game.

yea what they really need to do is add an end game solution. Like tower defense sort of thing where you and others have to defend the town against an onslaught of demons. Or allow your items to be leveled up. Something to engage players and feel a sense of achievement.

I don't think PvP is enough to get the MIA players back into the game. Btw, a joke is that PvP = Paypal Verified Players.

They need a few essential things to make you not want to put down the game.

1) A ladder system with a hard-to-reach level cap (level 99 in Diablo II wasn't easy at all)

2) 8 player games

3) Boss/elite loot drop fix

4) Skill (not attribute) tree points. Once you make all the characters in the game, there's no point in going on. In Diablo II, you could make 4 or 5 of the same character with different builds.

5) PvP

The game is still fun, but after a month I'm already getting bored. Syndicate and I were doing Hell Act 1 last night and I couldn't wait for it to be over.

I'll farm with ya. 60K or 72K dps CM build (900 LOH, 6K armor, 1000 res, 50K life) depending on my MF. I'm down for full Act 3 clears, we can probably do it in under an hour.

+1 On everything Dan said, the game needs end game content badly. I basically quit playing my Wiz because it's frankly boring and easy (I was able to solo Ghom in a 4 player game). As of now, I am having a decent time leveling all characters to 60, they'll sit until PVP.

In the meantime.....you all should download League of Legends. Free game and it's tons of fun! Probably the reason why it's the most played PC game.
