I agree. There was a point when Bigfoot mounted MH that the fight was close to being stopped. Thank god the ref had balls enough to let it go on.
Man, that uppercut from Bader to Perosh was sick, don't know how Perosh took that and kept standing. Poor HD, that dude was just too big for him

HD needs to cut wait and be in LHW. He's too small I think he'd do well as HW in bellator or wsof tho lol. Had a chance to meet him a few years ago in Toronto. He's one of my fav fighters I've had a chance of meeting. Uber fan friendly.
Saw the Shogun fight. Epic! Need to see the rest of the card tonight before I sleep :P BTW, Hunt broke his hand in 2 places in the 2nd round and if I'm not mistaken, injured his hips as well. This guy is a BEAST! Feed him Reem please! |

that shogun punch was ridiculous and felt horrible for HD Barry, he is one of my fav as well Bader completely dominated Perosh, that fight could have been stopped though |

Woah, GSP just vacated the title and is going on a very long leave of absence. I wonder if he'll ever come back now. Hope he can sort out all of his issues and have a happy life now. The guy gave the fans his all.

After his insistence, I am not surprised. Dana did a bit of an about turn but I'm glad to hear him be supportive of GSP on the conf call. I'm thinking he doesn't come back, though. Lawler vs Hendricks...interesting...

I am glad he did what he wanted despite Dana trying to manipulate him. I hope he retires on top, he is wealthy and healthy sounds like a perfect time to shut it down.

Bizarre news. I didn't think GSP would take a break. I fully understand the reasons why he wanted to leave and good luck to him. I think it's honourable to give up the belt as well. I think GSP will be back in better form than ever when people no longer talk about him being one of the best p4p fighters ever, which he truly is. MMA has a critical audience, you're only 1 loss from being over-hyped and 2 from retiring. JH v RL is the right fight to make. If GSP takes a step back and comes back with the right mindset I think he can beat both, but then again JH is making a lot of progression in his MMA game and RL is on a tear. I don't think GSP has anything left to prove. IMHO he's always been the best ambassador for sport of MMA and one of the greatest fighters of this generation. At the end of the day I hope he's happy. He deserves to be.

Mighty MOUSE!!! This guy is going places. He's literally getting leaps better than everyone else in his division. If he can keep this up for another 2 years. I'd have him as top3 p4p in the ufc easily. Let's not forget, he was a former #1 contender for the bantamweight division as well.
Faber deserves the next title shot. He's definitely top 3. Wish Mendes didn't have a flu. Was expecting to see another vicious KO from him. |

Spoilers below:
WOW.....great fights Jim Miller, what a sub! RR, gotta love her but hate her at the same time. Great performance, hands improved a lot since the last fight. Damn Barnett, wanted him to win. Wicked elbows by TB WOW WOW WOW, I think we've seen the end of AS, I doubt he's coming back from that injury. Props again to CW, he dominated the fight. Sad to see AS go out like that, but I would've bet that CW was on the way to KO'ing him again.

Waits quietly for the Silva fan camp.
*crickets* To be fair if you watch the replay Chris did KO him in round 1 but it wasn't stopped. The leg was a party bonus |

I actually started an Anderson Silva thread a while back, after the Vitor fight I believe asking if he's beatable. Weidman gave a definitive answer, but to watch that break live on tv! I'm far from a Spider fan, but man I hate to see that happen to any fighter. Weidman was dominating from the beginning and I thought it was going to be stopped in the first 90 seconds when he took Silva down and got him in half mount. I'd say that's the last time we'll see Silva fight. An era in UFC just ended tonight. ...pretty sad.
Props to Weidman, dude's a total stud amd can't wait to start watching his fights! |

Google Corey Hill just as nasty, maybe worse. Don't see Anderson coming back. It's a long process and then you have to train your brain. Don't think at 38 that happens.

Sucked to see Anderson Silva lose and suffer injury. It was brutal to watch. Congrats to Weidman though he's solidified his position. Hope to see Silva again but it won't happen

Still don't think Weidman solidified his title. Yes he won the 1st match but Anderson Silva was being cocky and asked for the KO. This time around Weidman did check Silva's kicks very well but I highly doubt that he did this thinking it would end the fight as it did. It was a fluke. I believe we still don't know if Weidman can take the champ. Yes he did have an advantage in the first round but as any UFC fan knows, Silva often is slow in the first rounds.
We will see how long he can defend the title especially against the hungry Victor Belfort! |

I don't think you understand what the word "fluke" means. Chris dominated the fight in strikes and take downs. So please explain your fluke.
That's like saying the 2013 NY Giants are THE best football team except for a few flukes. Chris won in dominant fashion like he has for 9 of his fights and the Spider is done. |
