A few other shots of my new Xmas present....I have an AWESOME wife
Currently 3,000 miles from the M3, will take a photo in it when i get home. Choose THE DARK SIDE.....not the light!

I've had my eye on two Omegas, this being one. Congrats, she's a beauty front and back! What's the case size on it, 44.25? Omega's my dad's brand so I suppose it's an inevitability I'll end up with one.

Yea too bad it doesn't cheapen the price! The strap is actually an appealing factor of the watch for me which sets it apart. I have too many metal and leather bands. This watch is the exact fill for a niche that I was missing. I think that is the goal that Omega was trying to achieve.

What really brought me to Omega though is the Grey Side of the Moon but the Dark Side is pretty much co-equal. I have other 44mm watches so I was looking at the 45.5 size first, thinking that around 46mm was the minimum size I would consider although now I definitely gravitate towards the beauty of the Grey/Dark Sides. The downside of the Planet Oceans are that they look like a number of other competing brands' designs. |

I have a bunch of watches, but there are a few "go-to's".
If I am going sporty, then there is the first one. If I am going more sophisticated, then there is number two. (Ironically, the one with the suit is the less "sophisticated" option.) Nothing overly ostentatious - I am just too old and boring to pull that look off well. |

Heh... well, most people would not know that. Most people would assume a Day Date cost more than both combined. Or a Breitling. People who get it, well... they get it. Those are the folks I want to have a chat with. The people who don't... well... they don't and I am cool with that.

Depending on how you want to do it, a VC Chromo will likely be a good buy soon. They will be announcing the "new" one this year at SIHH (in a couple weeks). You will either want that one (in house movement, and we'll know more after SIHH) or you may be able to get a better deal on the soon to be "previous generation". I am saving my pennies...
