Another person who hasn't watched the mavs at all this year, thinking that Dallas doesn't play def. You don't make it to the finals without playing defense. The Mavericks held their opponents to lower than 100 points a game for the entire first two rounds against Portland and the Lakers. The Miami Heat didn't play any teams that could shoot worth a damn. All they did was pack the lane and the other teams couldn't make any shots.

True - but at least Chicago's bench was statistically the best in the league during the regular season. That series came down to depth vs. talent - a few very talented individuals outweighed and minimized the effect the Bull's depth could have. In the end, one guy can't do it all on his own. Dallas is a great shooting team, but if the Heat play them like they did the Bulls, I don't see them losing in the Finals

I never said Dallas doesn't play defense. I said I don't think they can defend Miami as well as Miami can defend Dallas. Holding a team below 100 is not indicative of amazing defense. Please read what people write before you think you can gather which games I've watched and which I haven't.

I thought I've been saying that the Bulls "seem" like a one man team way before the semi final started? Although they have talented players, none of them stepped up in the Conf. Final.

You have, but they aren't. The only talent of equivalent caliber to the Heat on the Bulls is Rose, but this doesn't mean they're a one man team. So in that sense, it's 1 v 3. The Bulls are still a more cohesive team than the heat, but they can't match the talent. And that's what this series was about - who would win in a relatively short series, 3 very talented players or 8 with less talent

yep but that team plays with an incredible amount of ego. ego doesn't win championships and definitely doesn't keep a team together in the long run. mavs have incredible focus right now and plenty of humility from past blunders, not to mention that dirk has been the most clutch player in the playoffs by a long shot. some of these games, i don't know how the mavs have won, but the key fact is they have been finding a way to win nearly every time. compounded with the fact that the eastern conference is a bunch of junior varsity shit. quality of playoff opponents isn't quite there. shit, 8th seed in the west still had 46 wins. only 4th seed orlando had more. mavs in 6.

just imagine if san antonio had played the pacers in the first round. the outcome would have been a beat down of epic proportions.

I didn't see much ego in the Bulls/Heat series. I saw the best player in the NBA shutting down the MVP with lights out defense. Fans are one thing, but I've definitely got respect for the way the Heat play
