Do you think I can use some of those for people in my age group? I don't have the smartest bunch of friends.

Highly recommend that you use these to stack rank your friends hierarchically then eliminate the bottom 10% every year until you are a friendless, genius recluse forced to store your own urine in glass jugs. A PMP will help you start that journey, so well done there.

Fine... be serious... this is true. Networking really is about the most important think you can do outside of building your own personal qualifications. Most people don't understand networking though.

I tell my daughter that there are only 2 choices here: You will pull them up or they will drag you down. Everyone can't make the journey with you and the sooner you realize that the better off you'll be. She started culling this semester. She is really seeing it from study habits, partying behavior and such.

I was being semi-facetious... but I have largely forgotten what it was like to be in my twenties. This is reminiscent of Mr.SugarSkulls recent post. This is actually true. Remember, that friends are your friends because you are good for each other. There are lots of types of being "good". MKSixer is DEAD ON. Your friends cannot all make the journey. Think of all the "celebs" you hear getting dragged down by friends. You do need to be thoughtful about who can make it.

I actually included that on my resume; I joined PMI a little over a year ago and am studying for the certification. In conjunction with the academia, I'm confident to be in another corporate bracket before age 28.

I have actually lost about 2-3 friends in the last 6-7 months, and I only really had 4-5 to begin with. It's just that if you are not forced or willing to make changes in your life given the circumstances, then I can't MAKE you understand why you should be striving for better. At 25, I already feel like I have no time and need to be moving forward, daily.

I have about 10-12 notes in my iPhone notepad concerning fitness goals, utilities, mortgage, car modifications, supplement intake, health information, etc. I just don't understand how people can go through life just existing, and only seeing a foot in front of them.

Failure is a large part of my motivation, and I am very clear as to where I do not want to be. Before you know it, the same people who are around me now doing nothing will be 30, and still doing nothing.

I plan to own a 911 by 30, so I figure I'll shed the dead weight from now. I hate negativity and stagnation around me.
