7D prices are creeping up. Cameras are getting as bad as gasoline when it comes to price fluctuations. I've seen the 60D as low as $799 and as high as $1100. Now the 7D looks ready to jump to MSRP. Crazy.

Last week it was $1347 on Amazon. This week there are a few vendors with a couple left in stock at $1449, but most other vendors including Amazon are nearing the MSRP-minus-rebate price of $1599.

1399 in Ontario, but then add taxes. if it weren't for our taxes I'd say send me money, i send you camera But if i remember correctly, you have some family in London that could do that for you too.

I can usually talk them down a bit at my local shop. I can look into it if you like, see what price I can come up with.

Thanks, Reed, but I'm pretty much stuck with Amazon. I got a bunch of gift certs for Xmas and I've been adding to them as sort of a lay-away plan so it's Amazon or nothing. I can wait, though. The prices are bound to come back down.

EDIT: I see they're still in the $1345 range at B&H and Adorama. Usually you can buy from them through Amazon, but not now. Weird.

The guy selling the 30D on CL is coming by with it tomorrow. I had a talk with him today and he claims it's in outstanding condition. If it is, I'll give him his $250 asking price. Then it's time to try my hand at swapping in a split focus screen.

The stock agency I'm with just sent out an email saying they can give students 100% royalties (instead of the normal 60%) now for two years... of course this happens a month before I'm set to graduate.
