Carry on.
So knock it off with the dramatics. The situation is bad enough without people stirring up hysteria over half-truths and nonsense.

its not being dramatic...companies do take advantages during these rough times because people panic and pay whatever price is to survive!

Few years ago, storm Sandy hit the east coast and created lots of chaos before storm and after. To get full tank it was hours waiting in line. People were buying gas containers left n right that stores were out of stock. Case of water was over priced.

FEMA was another disaster to get homeowners funds to fix their homes...
Contractors and plumbing company were jacking up their prices.

Folks are essentially panicking and overwhelming stations normal flow of fueling. Reserves are "completely stocked" according to local gas officials.
Weird. Went to three stations yesterday that were all out of gas, finally found one with only 87 that took about a minute per gallon to pump.

I don't think I passed one station this morning that either had a line out onto the street, or had the pumps bagged.

I'm sure different parts of DFW are seeing different conditions, but from Addison through the Park Cities into Irving, your analysis would be false.

Looks like a new Raptor as well. That was an expensive mistake.

I spoke too soon..

My local spot is out of fuel, and I had to wait in line for a while to fill up the X5. Currently, 93 is $2.87. That's up 21c since last week.

Still better than the $3.339 I paid late last week, although they will sell me all I want at that price. (Gas stations near my house are generally $0.20 - $0.30 more expensive than West Palm Beach.)

I have to go mount new tires on my 135i anyways today, so I'll fill that puppy up as well when I'm out and about. I told my wife "no unnecessary" driving, so what does she do? Pop out to go and get a bagel. Gotta love it.

That's nuts. So that sign would have to be at least, what is it, 17-21 feet high? To allow tractor-trailers to pass underneath.

Where is a reputable place I can donate money to help with those affected by Harvey?
Seems major news outlets always point to the Red Cross but usually hear bad things about big organizations like that (re: money not always going directly to those in need but rather to cover "administrative" expenses, etc).

That's what happens when the trucks can't get to the gas stations.
