No doubt, just seems like there is more of it now than there was before. Seems like it takes very little to trigger people now, everyone is on edge. Even driving I think has gotten worse. In the before times I would almost always be the fastest one on the road… now… shit I could be doing 80 and it’s like I’m standing still.

This thread is about what happens when you say something in public to someone's face. And if you insist on your right to speak it can cause more trouble than if you let it go. Keyboard or not, "warrior mentality" is still doubtful. They can (and they do) provoke/assault you in real life just as well.

Mixing virtual reality with real life is a big stupid mistake. And for "keyboard warriors" there are moderators. You don't have to sue.

"Sheltered in rainbow fairy land" reminds me of my last offender: a mid-aged man must have just got out from under his mom's skirt for the first time in his fucking life that could've been taken had it been not in public (the cocksucker dinged my car for a "Fuck off!" which was the politest he had deserved). I would really doubt he had even been amongst men.

So it's okay to physically hit someone if you don't like what they say. I guess this is now precedent for all of us. Let's say I have a patient who says something impolite about my wife jokingly. Can I smack them in the face? It's probably a bad idea because my reputation would be destroyed, I'd probably be on the local news, and the DOH would probably suspend my license.

And btw, I've never laid a hand on anyone for saying something that offended me. I'll usually respond verbally, or walk away. Simple. And I haven't "been sheltered in [a] rainbow fairy land..." like you suggest.
