First outdoor shot with my new Canon 7D. Uses the 10-22 lens for these.
Looks like sunset, but these were taken at 1PM.

how are you guys liking the new 7D? ive only got 11000 actuations on my 40D shutter so i cant justify getting a new one yet. i might keep the 40 and go ff next year, or get a 7D instead and dump the 40.

it looks like you have a really good and sharp copy of the 10-22.

i was looking at the tokina 11-16 a few weeks ago, and it flares too much for me. great lens and i loved the color and IQ on it. i think it has better color and contrast than the canon. i just dont want that much flare.

Sigma just this past year came out with a 10-20mm with a fixed of f/3.5. i think that will be the next lens i pick up, unless i get a prime of some sort. the reviews of it are really good with similar IQ as the canon and color like the tokina with less flare.

Some are better than others, and I'm no photographer, but I wanted to share nonetheless. Pictures are shrunk from their original resolution, and I think that might take away from some of the effect, but you guys can be the judge of that.
