on a side note, just noticed that upgrading my ipod touch 3rd gen to iOS5 wiped all of my music...FML

Happened to me as well on my 4.

I plugged it back in and it added all my music back (saying that it needed to finish syncing), it just didn't include the cover art on many of the songs.

Oh well.

SGS2 was tested with Android 2.3.3. and not with a latest 2.3.5. And Android 4.0, which will be launched in 4 days, will have much better support for dual core phones.

Also its funny to see Apple fans who claims how fast are their phones. Im not suprised if 4S is a little faster than SGS2, because Safari can't open Flash content, doesn't have real multitasking, doesn't have widgets etc.

ICS will be a better comparison. However, what the 4S benches do show is that unless ICS comes out and absolutely throttles the 4S, it'll be really apparent that iOS5 is far more optimized (which I expect), and there's nothing an SGSII owner can do about the fact that the 4S's GPU is far superior (although again we're talking about a phone that is 6 months old versus a new one, wait for the Prime+ICS in a month for a good comparo). Although benches in general IMO are dumb, that is only because of how they're generally interpreted and presented. However, they're pretty useful in telling us how well optimized the OS is, and in this case show us that hardware specs are only important to a certain extent.

Also, who uses the default Android browser anyway?

if you buy it today, you get it like a month before the people that order online. my coworker just got in the office. he just got his iphone.

I got mine 2 hours ago, but I still can't activate my phone (AT&T). Keeps saying that the server is busy, which is VERY frustrating.

i drive by 2 att stores on my way to get my morning coffee and neither stores had a line or hardly any more cars than normally in the parking lot.

Drove by a store last night at 2AM and people had been camping out there already. Called about an hour ago just for the hell of it and they said; they had plenty in stock.

Setting mine up now, interesting that it looks 100% exactly the same as the 4, doesn't even say 4S or anything on it, just iPhone on the back. Feels a tiny bit heavier too.
