i'm pretty happy how it turned out considering i was using a point and shoot as well
that is a slight crop however, i was drifting backwards away while shooting it and trying to keep my arm the same distance from it the whole time I wonder if i could put Styrofoam on the bottom of a tripod and get a stabilizing effect on calm water with a remote trigger I somehow doubt it, and don't think i'd trust enough to put a camera over the water to find out... |

Nice. These shots of brown things always tempt me also.

there seemed to be a warmth to the brown colour, i have a few other shots like it, but they are all single plants, i just liked how there was DoF and a full frame of plants in this one, and i think almost every plant has been cut off by an edge of the pictures somewhere

^^^I like that shot Bill...good sense of depth with a human subject in the foreground...and the angles from the horizontal ground lines leading up to the vertical lines from the buildings....

I also like the composition of the shot Bill... but, "head in a clean spot!"

Here is a shot I took back in April with my co-workers P&S of a haboob rolling in to Al-Asad, Iraq...we are in a basin and it is perched at the edge of the cliffs waiting to hit us...this shot was taken at approx 12p.m. (ignore the EXIF time):
