They can be cool to look at, but after a while they get old. That one is nicely done, though.

all of that guys images are cool. but i dont consider them photographs. for me they are images. as an image, i like it

I too, don't do that, but I like it, at least in that specific case. That guy is a real artist, taking elements that are "real" and creating an image that only existed in his head. I love that when it's well done.

OTOH, there are people that can't take a realistic image to save their lives and then "manipulate" to try to make something out of nothing.

Good luck for that! Considering the price you will get for it; might as well consider having a backup

That's what I've decided to do with my D5000. In fact, it became my girlfriend's camera more then my backup, but that's a different story.

well i keep her happy and she promised a fat gift in June when she gets her bonus.. she knows i want the 70-200 2.8, now i may have to change the gift to a new camera

so, i just installed lightroom 4 and imported a LR3 catalog, and there is nothing in the lower filmstrip for the catalog. so if i select an image in the library main grid view, and then go to the develop module, it says no image selected. wtf.

anyone else??

weird. it's working now. closed it for about an hour, reopened it, and now they're there.

Just got my hands on an Ipad 2. I've been looking for one for a long time now. I wanted to wait for the 3, but at $387 for the 16gb one, I couldnt refuse.

At first glance, I didnt thought of using it for photography, but i'm wondering; why not?

I saw that Adobe got a couple apps for the Ipad, but from what I can see, its not worth it.

Is there any cool features, photography-wise on the Ipad?

Can he read .NEF files? (Nikon Raw)

yes, it can read and display .NEF files.

Thanks; they state that it reads raw files, but only confirm about Canon's .CR2.
