I'm a big fan of more horsepower but I agree with you 300-350HP is plenty for a car like that. My 993 is about 300HP which can get me into lots of trouble fast.

I wholeheartedly agree. A tightly wound na v-6 would be perfect for this car. Not that I have anything against turbos but this car needs the sound and feel of an engine that screams to 8 or 9k rpms.

I agree, it's overdone. I'd keep the carbon, get rid of all the Pagani-ness, put a classic Alfa twincam four under the hood with 2-ish liters, 250-ish HP, and an 8K rev limit, and size the wheels and tires a bit differently.

^According to some sources, this vehicle is the first commercial limo ever. Its production started in the early 20th century in France by a company called Alin & Liautard.

You and GarySL are both right.

One was the manufacturer and the other the coachbuilder.

I had a nice one of those but in red. Mine had the later, revised tail lights. Neat little cars.

They were so much better. I just found this one on BaT and it was the right color. Back in the day I always wanted the red convertible but with the Turbo II engine. I had a pic similar to this on my wall and used to lust over it daily.

I had a red 1985 RX-7 and later, a silver 2004 RX-8. With those high
reving wankels and manual transmissions, they were a joy to drive. It’s
too bad Mazda couldn’t figure out how to improve the poor MPG.

I was a fool and ripped a very clean one apart. Recently rebuilt rotary with perfect interior... I wanted to go racing so LS swap with gutted interior it was... Hindsight it should have just stayed the way it was, but oh well.
