No self respected dog owner would agree that those cats are 'cute', much less even use that word. You're just trying to be sympathetic to the fact they they don't have a wagging tail to greet them when they get home.
Love the B&W pic by the way...creates a nice image leaving it that way.

Or, they are happy that you are home to give them a bath after they just got back from escaping the yard and rolled in something dead or a just laid "freshie". Or, they are so happy to see you and lick your face after eating said "freshie" and rolling in it. I'll take a cat Actually, a cat does "shake" its tail when seeing us. Our response is , " Hey, don't spray that!"

My cat was all over me when we got back from NYC last night. Cats can show affection, too. And they don't dig holes in the yard.
I've owned dogs (beagle in Ft. Hood in the early 80s, huskies in Germany in the mid-to-late 80s) and they could be very destructive and high maintenance. I've owned cats since the early 90s and they can be very destructive and high maintenance. You pick your poison.

I like that angle, you get horizon rather than beach or water.

nice shot Activ. I've been wanting to grab some action shots like that, i'll have to wait a little longer though until the water warms a little and people get out there.

They're baaaaackkk!!
13-year cicadas are coming up out of the ground everywhere. I woke up this morning thinking my neighbor had been running his weedwacker for an hour straight. Then I realized the noise was from millions of bugs in the trees. Nasty little buggers, although they're entirely harmless.

They do leave a mess behind, though. Nasty, crunchy shells.
