There are 4 in my case that cover the steel frame that are missing to finish the car. All cars have this but some were fitted before they left the factory and were shipped the soonest. The sales manager said he got this info directly from the BMW port manager. The BMW port manager did not offer a time frame for the additional parts but said they "may" ship and have trim pieces installed at the dealers.
My car is showing in transit this morning finally! Any change on your end?

Still showing the stop sale but I was told that may be cleared when it’s inspected upon arrival to port in the US.

Orion Highway is just outside the port in Baltimore as of this afternoon. Hopefully our M35i gets unloaded and makes it though the VPC quickly.

Yeah, I am definitely not pushing it too much and I suspect I will appreciate the car more once I have a chance to do that. I can say, though, that the ride is definitely more harsh than the X3 - feels a bit like a sports car. The exhaust is not overly loud, but has just the right amount of purr. I had my wife switch the car from normal to sport while I was standing outside and you can instantly hear the change in exhaust note - pretty sweet honestly.

I too have had an X3 M40i since they came out. It wasn't until I switched to the LCI model that anyone ever said they thought my car looked cool. Both cars were Alpine white but I switched to 20 inch wheels and changed from blue breaks to red. Who knows? I mean I think the LCI version is better looking than the original, but that's just my opinion.

I was just informed that our M35i is involved in the stop sale for the missing interior trim pieces. I wish we knew what those pieces were and how long it will be held in Baltimore. Hopefully we are the minority when it comes to this issue and that it gets resolved soon.

Mine sat at port in Germany 6 weeks apparently due to the stop sale. Someone above said it was something in the trunk missing.

Mine still lists the stop sale but I was told it may be cleared when they inspect when it arrives at the port in the US. Mine is at port on the ship in Germany so at least a month out still.

Hope yours is addressed and clears quickly.

Yes, it was shipped on 18 October on the Apollon Highway and arrived in Baltimore yesterday (29 Oct) Still has the stop sale. Dealer says that it might take a few days for the trim pieces to catch up with it and then it would be trucked from Baltimore to Ohio. Do you have the ship name that yours is on? Was it the Apollon?

Mine also arrived on the Apollon Highway on the 29th. Talked with my dealer on Saturday and asked about "stop sale" on X1's. He showed me on his computer that my X1 had no stop sale indicator. He also showed me what the stop sale indicator looked like on his status report and mine definitely did not have the stop sale indicator. My M35i was built in the first two weeks of August and maybe trim pieces were in stock at that time, if they are the reason for the stop sale indicator on some arrivals. Dealer thought that I'd be able to take delivery sometime next week, week of Nov 6. We'll see.

My CA said that there was a fire in one of the factories that are producing the dash pieces. Miraculously mine wasn’t affected and he was just as confused as to how

As I undstand it, it’s some sort of trim in the trunk that is the issue.

My car sadly is one of the affected. Mine is on a ship now but the stop sale is still showing for it.

Mine was a bit ahead of yours on the Orion Highway and arrived in Baltimore on the 25th. Still sitting there, so it seems it's going to be a few more days at least until the trim arrives.

Did any of you guys get extended warranty? Is it worth? Seems to me like the full Maintanience package is not bad- covers brake pads, rotors, fluids, oil changes and filters, belts and bit more. Is this for suckers?

This was from a post from 2020 but may be helpful in making your decision:
Don't confuse the BMW Maintenance Program with the BMW Warranty Program. Your title asks about the BMW Maintenance Plan (not the Extended Maintenance Program) and you describing a warranty issue (leaking gasket), or in this case an out-of-warranty issue.

New BMWs prior to model year 2017 came with a 4 year/50,000 mile free maintenance program, meaning that all regular maintenance would be covered at no additional cost. Regular maintenance means oil/fluid changes, spark plug replacements, cabin filter replacements, windshield wipers, and brake fluid, pads and rotors. (See the Terms & Conditions for specifics.)

With model year 2017 and after, the free maintenance period was reduced to 3 years/36,000 miles and no longer covers brake pads and rotors. Since 2015 neither of these free maintenance programs are transferable.

The BMW OEM Warranty Program is for 4 years/50,000 miles and covers anything that fails or breaks that is not part of normal maintenance as stated above, or regular wear and tear (flat tire, bent rim, road rash, windshield chip, etc.) (See the Terms & Conditions for specifics.) BMW Extended Warranty programs can come in different levels (Platinum, Gold, Silver) that include or exclude different items, and for different periods (an additional 3 years/75,000 miles, 3 years/100,000 miles, etc.)

You apparently bought the Extended Maintenance Program, not the Extended Warranty Program (which would have cost way more). Most people think that the Extended Maintenance Program is definitely not worth it, particularly if you have an independent mechanic that can do normal maintenance, or if you can do your own oil changes, brake pads and rotors, etc.

All of the various BMW programs discussed, the OEM Maintenance Program, the OEM Warranty Program, the Extended Maintenance Program, and the Extended Warranty Program have their own set of Terms and Conditions which spell out exactly what is covered, what isn't covered and for how long. I'm guessing that you never read any of them.

Overview of the BMW Maintenance Program: https://www.bmwusa.com/explore/bmw-v...onditions.html.
The BMW Service & Warranty Program: https://www.bmwusa.com/explore/bmw-v...nty-books.html

What tires did they come with? And do you know if on your build you had the performance or high performance tire option?
