Toto can't be happy for anyone except his own team.
And if you then win nothing for a long time..... you have a miserable life...

Same with any PU if you push it hard like Max had to overcome car 55 then the heat generated will eventually make the cooling system work overtime and the needle starts edging the red zone, especially on these with no cooling fans.

No2 is hard at teams who are dominating or expected to dominate. I'm sure Checo thinks his job is constantly in jeopardy.

I think saying Max has been dominant is more accurate. If it was the car itself, races would be easy RB 1-2 finishes. The field is the closest it has ever been in history and the driver needs to be on top of it because a small slip could mean the difference of 5-10 places in a race.

MAX won 10 races in a row ! Today Checo ran a fantastic race at P2 , but It's not always been like that in the first half of the season . I'm pretty sure Checo gets his Red Bull seat in 2024 as well .

I keep thinking - Ferrari instead of fighting Max were fighting each other.
Would the end result be different? Probably not, but I think they gave up whatever small chance they had to beat Max. Ok I'm going to crawl under my desk now .... All I'll say is Max did 16 quali laps and forced one very small mistake on Carlos and he pounced. If Carlos drove 51 perfect laps he would have kept Max behind. But Carlos is no Max. Max in the Ferrari would have beaten Max in the RB. |

When you are wearing a full face helmet and the impact / G's are bad enough to cause blood vessel bursting in your eyes, you need to be an adult and sit it out. Just passing concussion protocol should not be enough.
"NASCAR on Fox reporter Bob Pockrass, Preece takes off his sunglasses to reveal the extent of the bruising. His eyes are still visibly bloodshot, which Pockrass attributes to blood vessel bursting "typical after a flip." |

Agreed on the latter. He is simply not that good, but then again he's learned the worst ways of racing since arriving at MB. The only guy who has more incidents than him is his teammate. Neither are great wheel to wheel racers. No one really understood that about Ham until recently (though the racing with Ros foreshadowed it) since it's easy to look good when your car is 1 second clear in quali and 2 seconds per lap faster in a race. Now that he actually has to use talent and skill to race, the mistakes are abundant, and often quite egregious for a nearly 20 year veteran. Beyond that, he isn't great under pressure, either doing the former or messing it up all on his own. It boggles the mind to watch what he did to Pia today - the only thing is, the penalty was nowhere near stringent enough. It should have been a 10 sec drive through to make it fair.

Congrats to Max for achieving one of the best records in all of F1!
Watching the race, two things stuck out to me. The forest around that area got absolutely demolished, like a tornado went through there. Sad to see all the trees which has seen so much history be destroyed! Second, every time I looked at the Ferrari cars I thought....Germany. Leave it to Ferrari to put what is essentially the German flag on their car at their home race in Italy. |

It looks very similar to tornado damage. I'm from the Midwest where tornados unfortunately aren't uncommon, and that's how tree lined areas look after a tornado. They must have had one helluva storm there. Here's some info: https://au.motorsport.com/f1/news/ho...2023/10514674/ |
